Actually I don’t think that’s true. The body naturally wants to break the sleeping process up into two segments which is why many people often wake up at odd hours, roll around in bed for a while, then go back to bed. It wasn’t until in the last century or two that modern society stressed importance on sleeping for one solid chunk through the night.
